MONROEVILLE, Ala. - Three Coastal Alabama - North Softball standouts are taking the next step in their collegiate careers, with Delana Peters, Destiny Holmes and Jakayla Williams each continuing their collegiate playing careers at four-year institutions.

Peters and Williams will continue their careers at Xavier University of Louisiana, while Holmes will remain close to home and join the University of Mobile softball program. Both programs are members of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) division and Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC).

The trio played key roles for Coastal Alabama - North during the 2026 season, helping lead the Coyotes throughout a 50-plus-game campaign.

Peters, a sophomore second baseman, appeared in 54 games and finished the season with a .301 batting average. The Coyote recorded 55 hits, including three doubles and two triples, while scoring 36 runs and driving in eight. Peters also contributed a team-best 21 stolen bases and posted a .344 on-base percentage.

Meanwhile, Williams provided another consistent offensive presence in the Coastal - North lineup. She drove in 36 runs, scored 25 runs and recorded a .350 on-base percentage and .433 slugging percentage.

Williams will join Peters at Xavier (La.), giving the Gold Nuggets a pair of former Coastal Alabama - North teammates.

For Destiny Holmes, the primary designated player / first baseman enjoyed one of the most productive offensive seasons among the Coyotes in 2026. Holmes appeared in 53 games, collecting a team-high 68 hits in 177 at-bats for a .384 batting average. Holmes recorded 12 doubles, four triples and three home runs while driving in 42 runs.
