MONROEVILLE, Ala. - Coastal Alabama - North Softball dropped both games of a home conference doubleheader over the weekend, falling to Central Alabama Community College to complete a four-game home-and-home series sweep.

With the losses, the Coyotes extend their skid to seven games and move to 13-33 overall and 12-16 in ACCC play.

In game one, Coastal - North collected nine hits but couldn't overcome Central Alabama in a 7-3 loss. Jordan Avera led the way at the plate, going 2-for-3 with a double, RBI, and a run scored. Jakayla Williams added a 1-for-4 performance with a double and a run, while Gracie Nelson finished 2-for-3 with an RBI. Chloe Sheppard also contributed two hits, going 2-for-3.

In game two, the Coyotes once again produced offensively with 10 hits but fell 11-2. Williams stayed hot at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 to lead the offense. Delana Peters went 1-for-3 with a triple and scored a run, while Synya Edwards finished 1-for-2 with an RBI and a run scored. Avera added an RBI with a 1-for-3 outing, and Sheppard remained consistent, going 2-for-2.

Despite combining for 19 hits across the doubleheader, Coastal Alabama - North was unable to slow Central Alabama's offense, which completed the four-game series sweep over the 'Yotes.

The Coyotes will look to regroup as they continue ACCC play this week against Bishop State Community College (Ala.) on Thursday, Apr. 16 in Mobile, Ala. Thursday's doubleheader is set for 1:00 p.m. CT.
