BREWTON, Ala. - Coastal Alabama - North Baseball put together a dominant four-game showing to open its series against Wallace - Selma (Ala.), completing a home-and-home sweep and extending its win streak to five games. With the four victories, the Coyotes improve to 16-12 overall and 7-5 in ACCC play.

Series Highlights

Coastal Alabama - North set the tone early, taking both games at home in Brewton, Ala. on Mar. 13 before finishing the job on the road in Selma the following day.

In the series opener, the Coyotes' offense came alive in a 13-5 victory, scoring multiple runs across the fourth, fifth, and sixth innings to put pressure on the Patriots after Wallace - Selma led 5-0 early. The 'Yotes finished with 13 unanswered runs to secure the game one victory.

Seth Guth went 3-for-4 at the plate with two RBIs and three runs scored, while Ashton Hardy's three-run homer put the Coyotes back in the ballgame. Hardy finished 2-for-3 with a game-high five RBIs in the victory. Meanwhile on the mound, Kieran Kostanoski got the start on the rubber and tossed six strong innings, striking out 11 batters. Andrew Benson closed out the game in the seventh with a scoreless frame. 

Coastal - North followed the game one win with a strong pitching performance in the second game of the day, limiting Wallace - Selma to just one run in a 4-1 victory to secure the home sweep. TJ Hauser tossed a complete game on the bump for the 'Yotes in game two, striking out nine batters in the process. Offensively, Seth Guth added two more hits, finishing the doubleheader 5-for-7 at the dish in Brewton. Meanwhile, leadoff batter Peyton Martin drove in two runs off two hits, and Jesse Lord finished 1-for-3 with an RBI.

The momentum carried into Selma the next day, where Coastal Alabama - North delivered its most dominant performance of the series in game three. The Coyotes cruised to a 13-2 run-rule victory in five innings, capitalizing on early scoring and never looking back. Both Reni Mason and Xavier Brown drove in two runs each off 1-for-1 showings at the plate, adding a walk apiece, while Jesse Lord went 2-for-2 with an RBI and a run scored. River Ramer checked into the game late for head coach Matt Collins, going 2-for-2 with an RBI in his two plate appearances. On the mound, Kameron McCord went all five innings, allowing just three hits and striking out nine Patriots.

The series finale proved to be the most competitive contest of the series, but the Coyotes held off a late push from Wallace - Selma to complete the sweep with a 10-8 win. Zoyle Gamer went 2-for-2 with a game-best four RBIs in the finale, while Peyton Martin, Jesse Lord, and Seth Guth all picked up an RBI each. Coastal - North used a series-high four pitchers in the win, with Jordan Ard closing out the game with two innings of work from out of the bullpen. Ard struck out three and did not allow a hit. 

Across the four games, Coastal Alabama - North showcased a consistent attack, combining explosive offense with key pitching efforts to control the series from start to finish.

Facing Off with Wallace ... Dothan

The Coyotes will look to keep their momentum rolling as they continue ACCC play this weekend, riding a five-game winning streak into their next four-game series against Wallace - Dothan (Ala.). This week's conference series is scheduled to begin on Thursday, Mar. 19 at 12:00 p.m. CT in Dothan, Ala. with a doubleheader.
