BREWTON, Ala. – The Coastal Alabama - North Baseball program, under the direction of head coach Matt Collins, has announced that seven student-athletes from the 2026 squad will continue their academic and athletic careers at four-year institutions.

The group is highlighted by a pair of freshman left-handed starting pitchers who earned opportunities at the NCAA Division I level, while a sophomore right-handed starter will also make the jump to NCAA Division I baseball. Additionally, three Coyotes will continue their careers at Point University (Ga.) and one at UT Southern (Tenn.), both members of the Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC).

Freshman southpaw Kieran Kostanoski earned a NCAA Division I opportunity with Tulane University (La.) after putting together one of the top pitching seasons in the ACCC and NJCAA Division II. Kostanoski tied for first in the ACCC with 94 strikeouts during the 2026 campaign, ranked among the top 10 nationally in NJCAA Division II strikeouts, and finished third in the conference with a 3.20 ERA. He posted a 6-3 record in 14 starts, logging a team-high 70.1 innings while leading the 'Yotes in strikeouts, strikeouts per nine innings (12.03), ERA (3.20), and WHIP (1.28).

Another freshman left-hander, Kameron McCord, will continue his career at Louisiana Tech after serving as another one of the Coyotes' most dependable starters during the 2026 season. McCord made 14 appearances with 11 starts, compiling a 3-3 record across 61.2 innings. He struck out 72 batters while averaging 10.51 strikeouts per nine innings and recorded two complete games.

Meanwhile, sophomore right-hander TJ Hauser will continue his collegiate career at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee following a strong season in the Coastal - North rotation. Hauser tied for fourth in the ACCC Division II with seven victories and finished the year 7-4 in 13 starts. He threw 58.2 innings, recorded three complete games, and struck out 49 batters.

Outfielder Cade Kelly has signed with UT Southern despite an injury-shortened 2026 campaign. In 14 games, Kelly recorded six hits, including a double, triple, and two home runs, while driving in six runs and adding a stolen base. He joins a Firehawks program that went 24-27 overall during the 2026 season in the NAIA. 

Point University will welcome three Coastal Alabama - North players next season to West Point, Ga., beginning with catcher Ashton Hardy. Serving as a platoon catcher, Hardy appeared in 35 games and batted .282 with a .408 on-base percentage and .471 slugging percentage. He collected 24 hits, including five home runs, while drawing 12 walks and stealing three bases.

Utility player Colton Brock will also join Point University after providing versatility throughout the last two seasons in Brewton. Brock appeared in 29 games in 2026, contributing four hits, seven walks, seven runs scored, and three stolen bases while playing multiple positions.

Finally, right-handed reliever Harrison Hicks rounds out the Point University signees. Hicks made 18 appearances and one start on the rubber during the 2026 season, posting a 3-1 record across 32.1 innings of work. He struck out 31 batters and averaged 8.63 strikeouts per nine innings.

The seven signees continue Coastal Alabama Athletics' tradition of developing student-athletes for success at the next level and represent another strong signing class for the Coyotes baseball program on the Brewton campus.
