Box Score BOAZ, Ala. - In a championship-caliber showdown Monday night, Feb. 16, the Coastal Alabama - North Men's Basketball team captured the ACCC Division II Regular Season Championship for the second consecutive season with a dramatic 73-72 road victory over No. 12 Snead State (Ala.).
With the Coyotes trailing by one in the closing seconds, sophomore standout Bryce Wilkins sliced through the lane and converted a go-ahead lay-in with just three seconds remaining, sealing the win and the 'Yotes as the No. 1 seed in the upcoming ACCC Division II Men's Basketball Championship Tournament.
In addition, the victory improves Coastal Alabama - North to 20-8 overall and 13-1 in conference play. The Coyotes have now won 10 straight games and remain unbeaten since Jan. 5. Monday's triumph also completed a regular-season sweep over the Parsons of Snead State.

Wilkins led the way with a dominant 23-point performance on 9-of-13 shooting while adding 11 rebounds for a double-double. He went a perfect 5-for-5 at the free-throw line, including critical late-game attempts before his decisive bucket.
Chimeziri Okeoma provided a major spark off the bench, pouring in 19 points, including four three-pointers, while Elijah Pippins added 12 points, seven rebounds and five assists. Pippins went 8-of-10 from the free-throw line in a physical contest that saw the Coyotes shoot 87.5% (21-of-24) from the stripe as a team.
Coastal controlled the glass with 41 rebounds, including 16 offensive boards that helped create second-chance opportunities in a tightly contested battle. The Coyotes shot 40% from the field and weathered a late push from the nationally-ranked Parsons to secure the road win.
With the regular-season title secured for the second straight year, Coastal Alabama - North can now begin to shift its focus to postseason play, carrying momentum, confidence and the top seed into the ACCC Division II tourney.
Two Left During Regular Season
Coastal Alabama - North is set for the home finale next on the schedule, coming on Thursday evening, Feb. 19 against Marion Military Institute (Ala.) at 6:00 p.m. CT. Following Thursday's action, the Coyotes will cut the nets in a celebration of clinching the regular season title. The game will be aired live on JockJive.com.
The 'Yotes will wrap up the regular season schedule on Saturday, Feb. 21 against Bevill State (Ala.) in Jasper, Ala.
