THE COOPER CENTER | MONROEVILLE, Ala. - Coastal Alabama - North Men's Basketball continued its dominant run Thursday night, Feb. 12, rolling to a 104-59 victory over Spring Hill College (Ala.) JV squad to extend its winning streak to nine games. With the win, the Coyotes improve to 19-8 overall and remain unbeaten since Jan. 5.
Coyote Dominance
From the opening tip, the Coyotes set the tone with relentless pace and consistent scoring. Coastal - North shot 48.8% from the floor (40-of-82), knocked down eight three-pointers, and dominated the glass with a season-best 65 rebounds, including 23 offensive boards that fueled second-chance opportunities throughout the night.
Justin Burns and Bryce Wilkins each scored 15 points to lead the starting unit. Burns added nine rebounds, including five offensive, while Wilkins controlled the paint with a team-high 13 rebounds to post a double-double effort. Off the bench, Chimeziri Okeoma delivered another strong performance, pouring in a game-high 27 points on 9-of-14 shooting, including 3-of-7 from beyond the arc and a perfect 6-of-6 at the free throw line. Okeoma scored 13 of his 27 points in just over three minutes at the start of the second half.
Isaiah Fuller and Ja'Michael Murray also contributed from off the Coastal - North bench, chipping in seven points apiece, while Jayden Evans added six points and four rebounds. Starting point guard Elijah Pippins orchestrated the offense with nine assists to go along with four rebounds, helping Coastal tally 23 assists on 40 made field goals. Defensively, the Coyotes forced consistent pressure, recording 13 steals and limiting Spring Hill to 59 points in the wire-to-wire victory.
Every active player on Thursday touched the floor for Coastal Alabama - North as the Coyotes' consistency on both ends of the floor has been the catalyst during its nine-game surge, a stretch that has led to success in the ACCC during the regular season.

The Coyotes will look to carry their momentum into a big road matchup on Monday, Feb. 16, where Coastal - North matches up with second-place team in the current conference standings in Snead State (Ala.). Monday's game is set for 7:00 p.m. CT.
