MUSCLE SHOALS, Ala. - Coming off the first tournament win in program history, the Coastal Alabama - North Men's Golf team put together another solid performance on Oct. 6-7, placing fifth overall out of 13 competing ACCC teams at the annual conference preview. Coastal - North finished with a team score of 881, just 29 strokes above par in Muscle Shoals, Ala. In addition to the top-five placement, Jackson Cleveland earned a spot on the all-tournament team after finishing just three strokes shy of his second consecutive individual championship.
Coastal - North bested teams including Snead State (Ala.), Lurleen B. Wallace (Ala.), and Enterprise State (Ala.), as well as counterpart Coastal Alabama - South who placed right behind in sixth overall.
Jackson Cleveland continued his hot start to the 2025-26 campaign, finishing second overall out of 74 total entrants at this year's conference preview. Cleveland finished with a 209 (-4) on the par 71 course, shooting an impressive 67 (-4) in round two and 70 (-1) in round three. Cleveland managed a 72 (+1) to open the tournament after weather delayed the start. He was named to the five-member all-tournament team for his second-place finish.
Gabe Patterson followed Cleveland with an 18th-place finish, scoring a 221 (+8). Patterson's best round came in the second round where he shot a 69 (+2). Meanwhile, Coy Ingram managed a 22nd-place finish, finishing with a 223 (+10) and Ty Posey placed 33rd with a 229 (+16). Other performances included Lucas Chalk in 54th with a +24 (237) and individual Caden Pocopanni who notched a 260 (+47) in 70th.
As a team, the Coastal - North Coyotes' best round came across round two where the team shot just a 289, five strokes above par.
LBW Tournament Next
The Coyotes are set to return to action and build on momentum in Greenville, Ala. on Oct. 19-21, competing at the LBW Saints Invitational. The three-round tournament will be played at the RTJ Cambrian Ridge Golf Course.
