DOTHAN, Ala. - The Coastal Alabama - North Men's Golf team began the 2025-26 season last week at the Wallace Fall Kickoff Classic, finishing 11th overall out of 17 team entrants to open the year. Across the two day, two-round tournament, the Coyotes finished 73 strokes above par, scoring a 649 in the process, and finished just 15 strokes away from a top-10 placement.
Coy Ingram paced the Coyotes at the season opener this year, finishing 36th overall out of 82 total players with a 158 (+14). Ingram shot a 78 in round two to jump 10 spots on the final day. Jackson Cleveland finished closely behind Ingram in 40th, tallying a 159 (+15). Cleveland opened the tournament with an impressive 77, but dropped 18 spots after recording an 82 in round two.
Ty Posey came away 49th with a 163 (+19), scoring an 82 and an 81 across the two rounds, while Gabe Patterson jumped nine spots on the final day with an 83 in round two to place 60th. Patterson finished the tournament +25 (169). Lucas Chalk rounded out Coastal Alabama - North performers in the first tournament of the season, scoring a 175 (+31) in 69th overall.Â
The Yotes bested ACCC teams like Lurleen B. Wallace CC (Ala.), Snead State (Ala.), Enterprise State (Ala.), and Reid State (Ala.) at the Wallace Kickoff Classic.
Back in Action Next Weekend
Coastal Alabama - North Men's Golf will return to action on Sept. 21-23 at the Chuck Kalanick Memorial in Union Grove, Ala. Next weekend's tournament will be played at the Cherokee Ridge Country Club and will be two rounds, with a practice round being set for Sunday.
