DOTHAN, Ala. - The Coastal Alabama North Baseball team officially saw the 2025 season come to a close during Easter weekend after dropping three of four games against Wallace State - Dothan (Ala.) from April 17-19. The four-game series began in Brewton, Ala. with a doubleheader which saw the Coyotes come up short in both games played. Prior to Thursday's two games, Coastal Alabama North Head Baseball Coach Keith Griffin was honored ahead of his upcoming retirement following the season. 
The series continued two days later in Dothan, Ala. as both teams worked a win to close out the regular season portion of the schedule. Coastal North took game one 9-3 before dropping the finale 10-3 to the Governors. The Coyotes finish the 2025 season with a 27-24 overall record and 19-17 record in the conference, ending the regular season one win shy of advancing to the 2025 ACCC Baseball Championship Tournament in Montgomery, Ala. after claiming the title last season. 
Series Highlight
In the lone win of the weekend, Coastal North scored in four of the seven innings played to begin Saturday's action, eventually winning by six runs. The Yotes opened the game with a three-run first inning, adding an additional run across both the second and third frames. In the fifth, Coastal North put the game away with a four-run inning, finishing the game with nine runs off eight hits. Meanwhile, the Coyotes' pitching staff allowed just three runs off six hits to Wallace State - Dothan. 
Elijah Guilliams paced the offense with two extra-base hits in the victory, finishing 2-for-3 at the plate with three RBIs and three runs scored. Gulliams recorded a double and a homer in the win. Broox Hart also notched three RBIs in Saturday's first game, finishing 2-for-3 at the dish. On the mound, Ethan McAnally tossed a complete game, with only one of the three runs scored being charged as an earned run. Guilliams struck out five batters in the winning performance.
