Keith Griffin took over as Head Baseball Coach of Coastal Alabama Community College's Brewton campus in the fall of 2022, after a historic careerĀ at the previously named Jefferson Davis Community College from 1996 to 2002.Ā
During his previous tenure in Brewton, Coach Griffin led the program to two State and Region Championship (1998, 2000) as well as winning the NJCAA DII National Champonship in 1998. In 2024 a newly coined, Griffin-led Coyote ball club advanced once again to postseason, after a ten year hiatus,Ā and claimed themselves the ACCC DII Tournament Championship, the first in 24 years. In his long career, he has seen 31 former players drafted into the MLB as well as many more that moved on to competeĀ at the collegiate level.
Outside his role as a coach, Griffin also acts as an instructor in the Physical Education Department at Coastal. He received his A.A. degree from Gadsden State Junior College in 1976, his B.S. in Physical Education from Livingston University in 1978, and two master's: a master's in Physical Education from the University of North Alabama in 1980 and a master's in Educational Leadership from the College of Education out of Chicago in 2012.
