BREWTON, Ala. - Coastal Alabama - North Volleyball opened its 2026 home schedule Thursday evening, Aug. 27 but fell to conference rival Lurleen B. Wallace Community College (Ala.) 3-0 at home in Brewton. The Saints claimed the opening set, 25-23, before taking the second set, 25-19, and completing the sweep with a 25-13 win in the third.
The Coyotes fall to 1-2 on the young 2026 season following the defeat.
As a team, the Coyotes finished the night with 29 kills on 84 attacks and hit just .119 as a team. Coastal - North also recorded 24 assists, 20 digs and four total blocks.
First-year Coyote Avrie Hines led the 'Yotes offensively with 11 kills on 28 attacks, while also adding a team-high six digs. Sophomore Ali Simon followed with seven kills on 15 attacks, hitting .333 for the match, while freshman Arianna Wright added six kills. Other contributors to the offense included Faith Reid with three kills and Daelyn Bozeman with two kills.
First-year setter Libby Williams paced the Coastal - North offense with 24 assists, while libero Shaylee Frederick recorded four digs and added three service aces.
Tri-Match in Brewton
The Coyotes will look to bounce back in their next matches as the 2026 season continues on Saturday with a tri-match in Brewton. Coastal - North will host both United States Sports University (Ala.) and Meridian Community College (Miss.) on Aug. 29, with match times set for 11:00 a.m. CT and 3:00 p.m. CT.
