PENSACOLA, Fla. – The Coastal Alabama – North Women's Volleyball team secured a 3-1 road victory over John Melvin University (Fla.) on Wednesday evening, Sept. 3, winning by set scores of 25-18, 18-25, 25-17, 25-10. After splitting the first two sets, Coastal Alabama – North responded with a dominant third set before cruising to a decisive 25-10 finish in the fourth to close out the match. The win is Coastal North's second victory in a row, improving the overall record to 2-3 on the young 2025 season.
The Yotes turned in an efficient offensive performance on Wednesday, hitting a stellar .396 as a team with 55 kills on 111 total attacks. Sophomore outside hitter Ella Sprouse led the way with 11 kills on a .476 hitting percentage, while adding eight digs and a block assist. Lexie Drace and Ali Simon each chipped in seven kills, while Faith Reid and Lydia Miller added seven and five kills respectively to balance the attack.
Setter Hannah Vinas managed a double-double in the win, directing the offense with 37 assists and also tallying 10 defensive digs. Meanwhile, libero Morgan Dykes anchored the back row with a team-high 13 digs, with Sprouse totaling eight digs and Drace contributing seven. From the service line, the Yotes recorded nine aces, highlighted by three from Joleigh Parmer, who also recorded three kills and four digs.

Coastal North will look to continue its winning ways on Wednesday, hosting a conference matchup against Enterprise State (Ala.) at 4:00 p.m. CT in Brewton, Ala.
