Women's Volleyball Extends Win Streak to Six with Two More Wins

Coyotes Roll Past Two More Opponents Over the Weekend

Box Score 1 BREWTON, Ala. - Coastal Alabama - North Women's Volleyball rolled to a pair of road victories to keep the winning streak intact last week, defeating conference foe Wallace - Selma (Ala.) in straight-set fashion, while coming away with a five-set victory over Baptist University of Florida in a non-divisional showdown. The overall record improves to 6-3 for head coach Steven Dickey's team, with the ACCC record now sitting at 3-1. The Coyotes have not lost a match since Aug. 27. 

Yotes Sweep Wallace - Selma to Extend Win Streak

Coastal Alabama - North continued its winning ways with a dominant sweep (25-4, 25-14, 25-21) over Wallace Community College - Selma on Thursday night, Sept. 11.

The Coyotes were sharp offensively, hitting an impressive .494 as a team while racking up 42 kills across three sets. Savannah Creamer led the way with eight kills on a .727 clip, while Ella Sprouse added five kills and three aces. Lexie Drace chipped in six kills and five digs, and setter Hannah Vinas directed the offense with 20 assists and two service aces.

Defensively, Coastal - North collected 23 digs, with Morgan Dykes leading with five. The Coyotes also controlled the net with six team blocks, frustrating the Wallace attack.
 



Coyotes Outlast Baptist University of Florida in Five-Set Thriller for Sixth-Straight Victory

Following the sweep over Wallace - Selma, Coastal - North showed its resilience on Saturday, grinding out a five-set road victory over Baptist University of Florida (25-19, 20-25, 25-23, 26-28, 15-9) to push the win streak to six matches.

Ella Sprouse had a massive performance, tallying a match-high and season-high 21 kills while hitting .327. She finished one kill shy of matching a career high in a single match. Setter Hannah Vinas dished out 46 assists and added eight digs, while Lexie Drace posted a strong all-around effort with 11 kills, 11 digs, and three aces.

Offensively, the Coyotes finished with 64 kills and a .287 hitting percentage, while also collecting 77 digs to keep rallies alive. Ali Simon added nine kills and two blocks, and Savannah Creamer contributed nine kills and four blocks. Four players recorded double-digit dig totals, led by Morgan Dykes with 17. 

After narrowly dropping the fourth set 28-26, Coastal Alabama responded with poise, pulling away in the decisive fifth set 15-9 to seal the road win and improve the win streak.
 



ACCC Showdown on Monday

The Coyotes have a tough matchup ahead as the team faces off with Bishop State (Ala.) on the road. The matchup with the Wildcats is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. CT on Monday, Sept. 15, and will be played in Mobile, Ala. Bishop State and Coastal - North are currently tied in the ACCC Women's Volleyball South Division standings with 3-1 conference records.
