ANDALUSIA, Ala. - Coastal Alabama - North Women's Volleyball dropped the first ACCC Conference match of the 2025 season on Wednesday evening, Aug. 27, falling in straight sets 15-25, 20-25, 11-25 to Lurleen B. Wallace Community College (Ala.) in Andalusia, Ala. The loss drops the overall record to 0-3 for Coastal North to start 2025, with the Yotes looking to snap the losing skid in their home opener this upcoming weekend.Â
Coastal North was led offensively by Lexie Drace, who tallied six kills and collected eight blocks. Faith Reid followed with five kills and a strong .300 hitting percentage on the night, and Lydia Miller chipped in two kills and three blocks at the net. On the back line, Morgan Dykes joined Drace with eight digs across the three sets played, followed by Joleigh Parmer with five digs and a team-best five assists. In total, the Coyotes finished with 18 kills, 32 digs, and 10 total blocks but could not overcome LBW's strong start in each set.
Home Opener Awaits
With the first three matches of the season coming on the road, Coastal Alabama - North is now set for the home opener in Brewton, Ala., scheduled for Saturday afternoon, Aug. 30. The Yotes will host United States Sports University (Ala.) in a non-divisional matchup, with first serve being scheduled for 1:00 p.m. CT.Â
