Box Score 3 MULTIPLEX AT CRAMTON BOWL | MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Coastal Alabama - North Women's Volleyball team wrapped up the 2025 season over the weekend at the 2025 Alabama Community College Conference (ACCC) Volleyball Championship Tournament, battling through a competitive pool play field in downtown Montgomery, Ala. The Coyotes opened the conference tournament with a pair of losses in pool play, eventually being eliminated from semifinal contention. However, Coastal - North wrapped up pool play action the following day and closed out the 2025 campaign with a victory.
Coastal Alabama - North finishes the 2025 season with a 21-11 overall record during the year, while finishing 8-4 in the ACCC and earning the No. 3 seed in the ACCC Volleyball South Division standings. The Yotes finish with over 20 wins during the year for the second-straight season under head coach Steven Dickey, who picked up the 2025 ACCC Volleyball South Division Coach of the Year Award.
Tournament Recap
The Coyotes opened tournament action Friday morning with a hard-fought five-set match against Snead State (Ala.), coming up just short in a 3-2 loss (22-25, 25-16, 20-25, 25-13, 8-15). Coastal - North hit .225 as a team in the match and recorded 53 total kills. Ella Sprouse paced the offense with 18 kills on .333 hitting, adding 15 digs and three service aces. Her 18-kill performance is the second-highest recorded in a match this season.
Joleigh Parmer turned in a strong all-around performance with 13 kills, 26 assists, two aces, and three digs, while Lexie Drace added 10 kills and a solo block. Defensively, Shaylee Frederick contributed 13 digs and Abbie Mathews finished with 12 digs. Setter Hannah Vinas helped Parmer guide the offense with 21 assists, while adding eight digs.
Later on Friday, the Coyotes faced the ACCC Volleyball South Division champions in a tough Enterprise State (Ala.) squad, falling 3-0 (16-25, 9-25, 17-25). Lexie Drace led the offense with six kills and added four digs and a block assist. Ella Sprouse followed with four kills and two aces, while Ali Simon tallied three kills on .429 hitting efficiency. Joleigh Parmer notched three kills, six assists, and one ace, and Abbie Mathews and Shaylee Frederick each had four digs. Hannah Vinas finished with a team-high 13 assists in the defeat. Coastal - North recorded just 20 kills as a team with a .100 hitting percentage.
The Yotes closed tournament play Saturday with a 3-1 victory over Gadsden State (Ala.), winning three sets in a row after dropping set one (13-25, 25-16, 25-12, 25-23). The match finished pool play and the 2025 season on a high note for Coastal Alabama - North.
The Coyotes hit .185 as a team and posted 42 kills. Drace powered the attack with 15 kills, 10 digs, and a service ace. Sprouse added nine kills on .300 hitting and a match-high six aces, while Daylin Williamson was efficient off the bench with seven kills on .545 hitting. Parmer recorded three kills, three assists, and three digs, and Vinas dished out 30 assists along with six digs. Frederick anchored the back line with 11 digs, and Morgan Dykes added eight.
Coastal Alabama - North finished its tournament run 1-2 in pool play, narrowly missing a spot in the semifinal round. The Coyotes concluded the 2025 campaign with strong play and balanced contributions across the lineup, building momentum heading into next season.
