BREWTON, Ala. — Just two days after suffering a tough sweep to Enterprise State (Ala.), Coastal Alabama - North Women's Volleyball picked up a gritty four-set win over Pensacola Christian College (Fla.) on Saturday morning, Oct. 4, rallying after a narrow first-set loss to secure the 3-1 victory (23-25, 26-24, 25-14, 25-19). The big win comes just 11 days after the Coyotes were swept in straight sets by PCC in Pensacola, Fla. as the overall record improves to 11-6 on the season. Additionally, the Yotes improve to a perfect 5-0 on their home floor.
Match Highlights
After dropping the opening frame, the Coyotes responded with resilience, edging out a tight second set before taking control of the match behind an efficient offensive showing. Coastal - North hit a strong .263 as a team, with multiple hitters contributing double figures in kills.
Lexie Drace led the charge with 14 kills, adding five digs, a service ace, and a block assist for a strong overall performance. Ella Sprouse was right behind her with 13 kills and 11 digs to record a double-double, and Savannah Creamer added 10 kills on a .364 hitting clip and was a force at the net with three total blocks. Setter Hannah Vinas was instrumental in orchestrating the offense, dishing out 46 assists to go along with eight digs and a service ace. Defensively, Abbie Mathews anchored the back row with a team-best 12 digs, while Morgan Dykes came away with seven. As a team, Coastal - North tallied 54 digs and five total blocks in the four-set victory.
With the win, Coastal - North continues to build momentum as conference play looms throughout the month of October.

The Coyotes are scheduled for three consecutive home matches next on the schedule beginning on Monday evening, Oct. 6 against Reid State Tech (Ala.). Monday's match is set for 6:00 p.m. CT and will be broadcasted live on JockJive.com.
