Head Coach Mandee Armstrong is entering her 10th season leading the Coastal Alabama - North Women's Basketball program in Monroeville, Ala. ahead of the 2025-26 season. The Coyotes will look to bounce back following an 11-14 season last year, and continue building off the program's best season in team history two seasons ago where the Coyotes claimed the school's first ever ACCC Conference Championship and bid to the NJCAA Women's Basketball National Tournament. During the historic season which saw the Yotes finish 19-13 overall and 8-2 in the conference, Coach Armstrong was awarded the 2023-24 ACCC Conference and Region Women's Basketball Coach of the Year.
A native of Port St. Joe, Florida, Coach Armstrong attended Brooks County High School in Quitman, Georgia where she received an offer to play basketball at Troy State University (Ala.) from 1993-97. Armstrong had a sensational career at Troy earning her a spot in the Troy University Sports Hall of Fame in 2018. After her time at Troy, she went on to play professionally in Povoa De Varzim, Portugal and Contern, Luxembourg.
In addition to her roles as Head Women's Basketball Coach at Coastal Alabama - North, she also serves the city of Monroeville as the acting Police Chief for the Monroeville Police Department. She received her a bachelor's in Criminal Justice from Troy University and her master's in Administration of Justice and Security from the University of Phoenix in 2012.Â
