BREWTON, Ala. - The Coastal Alabama - North Cross Country program wrapped up the 2025 regular season and competed at the ACCC Cross Country Championships last weekend, eventually seeing four student-athletes advance to the 2025 NJCAA Cross Country National Championships. The men's team at Coastal Alabama placed 10th overall during the conference meet in Huntsville, Ala., while the women's team did not record a team score. However, individual performances earned four Coyotes, two from the men's team and two from the women's team, trips to Fort Dodge, Iowa for NJCAA Division II Cross Country Nationals.
From the men's team, Riley Valdez and Eli Covington qualified for NJCAA Cross Country Nationals, with Valdez leading the Coyotes by finishing 34th overall at the ACCC Conference Championship with an 8k time of 28:57. Covington followed in 55th, recording an 8k time of 30:06. On the women's side, Roxanna Mendoza and Chloe Criswell earned bids to nationals, with Mendoza leading the Yotes over the weekend with a 5k time of 23:40, placing 43rd overall. Chloe Criswell followed closely behind, placing 46th with a time of 23:56. All four student-athletes will continue their 2025 seasons in November.Â
The 2025 NJCAAÂ Division II Men's and Women's Cross Country National Championships are scheduled for Nov. 8 at the Lakeside Golf Course in Fort Dodge, Iowa. For more information on the national meet, click HERE.Â
