OXFORD, Ala. - The Coastal Alabama - North Women's Golf team, led by head coach
David Jennings, opened the 2025-26 season on Sept. 29-30, competing at the NJCAA D-II South District Preview in north Alabama. The first tournament of the season was just two scheduled rounds for the Coyotes, with Coastal - North coming home seventh overall out of 11 competing teams.
First-year Coyote Cece Ball led the charge at the first tournament of the season, finishing just outside the top 10 in 12th overall with a +25 in her first collegiate appearance. Ball, a freshman from Foley, Ala., played consistent and shot an 84 in round one, while shooting an 85 in the second and final round. She was followed by
Anna Kate Daniels, who came away with a 181 (+37), placing 32nd. Daniels put together a strong first round with an 87, but fell 14 spots on the final day with a 94 in round two.
Other Coyotes who contributed to the top-10 finish was
Ellyana Hamm (+49) and Kendall Alvare (+69). Both players put together better performances in the second round, with Alvare jumping three spots on the final day.
Riley Dawson rounded out Coastal's top five with a +80, placing 55th. As a team, the Coyotes recorded a team score of 756 (+180) and competed against 60 total individual entrants.
What's Ahead
Coastal Alabama Women's Golf is scheduled to return to action in two weeks, competing at the Snead State (Ala.) Invitational on Oct. 12-14. The Snead State Invite will be played at the Cherokee Ridge Country Club in Union Grove, Ala.
