Coastal Alabama Community College - North

Christa Childress Dupont enters her seventh season at the helm of the Coastal Alabama - North Softball program after arriving at Coastal Alabama Community College in Monroeville in January of 2020. Her junior college coaching career began in 1995 at Three Rivers Community College in Missouri where she had the opportunity to coach volleyball, basketball, and softball. During her stint with Three Rivers CC, she was blessed to coach alongside her father, Jack Childress. 

On top of her coaching duties, Dupont teaches business courses through the college. She has a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. Her passion for developing student-athletes both on and off the field is apparent in her success. In 2023, she had the honor of coaching Emily Phillips who received the ACCC South Division Pitcher of the Year Award, and Kerri Steadham who received the Scholar of the Year Award for the Monroeville Campus.

Christa and her husband, Kenny Dupont, have a permanent residence in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Together they have four sons, Tyler and Trent Albright, Brister and Dixon Dupont, and two granddaughters Elliot and Alva Dupont.
