MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Coastal Alabama - North freshman Hannah Galloway has been named the Alabama Community College Conference (ACCC) Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week following a record-setting performance at the Montevallo Falcon Classic over the weekend.

Galloway, a Silverhill, Ala. native, established a new Coastal Alabama Women's Cross Country 5K program record at the meet, crossing the finish line with a time of 19:53. The time marked a personal record by 42 seconds and placed her 17th overall among 97 competitors.

Galloway was also the first junior college (JUCO) finisher in the women's race, highlighting one of the strongest individual performances in the young history of the Coastal Alabama Women's Cross Country program.

Her 19:53 mark not only shattered her previous personal best but also established a new program standard for the Coyotes.

The weekly honor carries additional significance for Coastal Alabama, as Galloway becomes the first ACCC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week in program history for the Brewton-based program.

"Year four is already giving us moments to celebrate," said Coastal Alabama Cross Country Head Coach Misti Nims. "Having our very first Coastal Alabama female Runner of the Week is a milestone that represents growth, hard work, and the continued progress of our women's program. I'm incredibly excited about the future and look forward to building on this success as we continue to grow, compete, and make history together."

Galloway and the Coyotes will look to build on the historic performance as the 2026 cross country season continues on Sept. 25 at the Azalea City Invite in Mobile, Ala.
